UI API Object Level Events
What are the enhancements?
SAP Business One Version 9.0 brings with it a much simpler way for the UI API to handle events using Object Level Events.
What are the benefits?
- Simpler and easier maintenance and development of new code
UI API Column Setting
What are the enhancements?
The functionality of fixing columns in SAP Business One has been extended to the UI API.
What are the benefits?
- Enables users to leverage this feature in the SDK
DI API Exposure
What are the enhancements?
Several DI API objects have been exposed in the latest SAP Business One version.
What are the benefits?
- Enables the addition of User-Defined Fields (UDF) on ServiceType Objects (eg: Activities, Accrual Type, Cost Center Type etc.)
- External Reconciliation: Execute or cancel an external reconciliation
- Attachment for Documents: A new interface Attachment Entry is available for you to add attachments to the Documents object.

What are the enhancements?
The new SLD service for security configuration and server management has been added to the Server Tools installation and replaces the current security configuration process. This is also compatible for partner add-ons.
What are the benefits?
- More secure data management
- Central location for security and server management
Single Sign On
What are the enhancements?
The SSO log in options have been expanded to allow users to login using their Windows account (as long as Windows and B1 session are both open).
What are the benefits?
- Integration with Windows allows easier access for users to complete daily tasks across multiple platforms
64bit Support for SAP Business One
What are the enhancements?
With Version 9.0, the native 64bit support for SAP Business One utilises all of the available memory on a client system. The 64bit client is released together with the 32bit edition.
Additionally the supports have been improved to provide:
- 64bit DIAPI and UIAPA
- SAP addons – Payment Engine, Outlook, EFM
- SDK for addon migration
What are the benefits?
- Enables smoother high memory transactions (e.g. database upgrades, revaluations report)
- Bigger cache
- Improved performance when pulling large reports
- Supports a greater range and more powerful partner solutions and addons
- Improved server side processing via 64bit DI API
- Integration with other 64bit applications (e.g. Microsoft Office suite)
- Resolves some size, crash and error issues due to greater memory
Security Compliance and Data Privacy
What are the enhancements?
SAP Business One Version 9.0 supports dynamic keys and user passwords and all administration and configuration changes can be stored in a log file for auditing purposes.
What are the benefits?
- Improved audit and compliance capabilities
- Greater safeguarding against attacks and security breaches
Different Database User for each Company Database
What are the enhancements?
The new ‘database user per company’ credential is installed for each new SAP Business One company database. There is greater control over database access and use across common databases as well as different company databases.
What are the benefits?
- More control and visibility for management over various database access levels
Accessibility Standard
What are the enhancements?
The access to SAP Business One Version 9.0 will greatly improve the accessibility levels for all users including those with specific needs or disabilities. This is in alignment with SAP’s ‘Product Standard Accessibility’ requirements enforced by the Product Innovation Lifecycle (PIL) process.
What are the benefits?
- Enables organisations to become more inclusive and provide better opportunities for their employees
Data Structure Length for Monetary Reporting
What are the enhancements?
SAP Business One Version 9.0 allows greater data structure length for certain monetary fields in reports such as the Trial Balance report.
What are the benefits?
- Supports currencies with large decimal place requirements
- Allows more accurate financial reporting
